Aug 19, 2023Amazon product recall: Serious risk of 'choking and injury'
Product and food recalls have been issued for items sold on Amazon.
Anyone who has bought water balloons or crisps should be cautious.
The warning for 4pcs Reusable Water Balloons was shared by the Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS).
The items are sold on Amazon under a range of listing names: Refillable Water Balloon, Silica Gel Water Balloons, Easy Quick Fill Water Bombs for Summer Outdoor Activities, and Reusable Water Balloons for Family Pool Backyard Beach Games.
Water balloons previously listed on Amazon were recalled

Shoppers should look out for the barcode: X001SUFIRJ and ASIN: B0CBDT5P6T as the items have a "serious" risk of "injuries and choking".
The OPSS said: "The product presents a serious risk of injuries as, when tested, the small magnets were found to have a magnetic flux index four times greater than the maximum permissible level for a toy and fit wholly within a small parts cylinder.
"Small, high-powered magnetic products can easily be swallowed and, when ingested, have the potential to cause serious internal injuries within the gastrointestinal tract.
"The product also requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation."
The listing has been removed from Amazon but anyone who bought the product before should stop using it immediately and keep it out of reach of children.
Crisps sold on the e-commerce platform have also been recalled.
Just Crisps recalled the Sea Salt & Apple Balsamic Vinegar Potato Crisps as they contain milk not mentioned on the label. These are sold in some stores and on Amazon.
Shoppers should check for the pack sizes 40g and 150g and best before April 8, 2024.
